| 今年度の授業内容 | • This course builds on the previous course, and teaches more complex English for daily conversations using the Berlitz Method of Instruction. In each class, the instructor will teach new language, and students will practice using it through a variety of interactive speaking activities. The course focuses on speaking and listening, supported by reading and writing. | |

| 自習に関する一般的な指示事項 | Activities at home, such as keeping an English diary, are recommended to help students retain new vocabulary studied in class. Completing all homework exercises is an essential part of this course. The class CD can also be listened back to for extra listening practice. | |

| 授業の運営方法 | In this course, students use the 'Berlitz for University Students 2' textbook. This text is designed specifically to target the language development needs of Japanese university students. In each unit, students listen to and re-enact role-plays, and learn to use basic grammatical structures in situational contexts. All lessons conclude with speaking tasks that confirm the students' understanding and gives them the skills and confidence they need to use English in real situations. Students are required to take 2 mini-tests during the course and a final exam. | |
